Stainless steel is a group of iron-based alloys that contain a minimum of approximately 11% chromium, a composition that prevents the iron from rusting and also provides heat-resistant properties. JST not only manufactures exotic materials of plug valve, we are also producing stainless steel plug valve, which is commonly used for not very corrosive application.

Super Austenitic Ball Valves exhibit great resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion because of high molybdenum content (>6%) and nitrogen additions. These steels approach the performance of highly corrosion resistant nickel based alloys at a significant lower cost.
-

Super austenitic stainless steel corrosion resistance is higher than the duplex grades, because its alloy content is higher.
-

Super austenitic steels are amagnetic and present good weldability and excellent formability.
Highly alloyed iron-nickel-chromium stainless steels containing molybdenum have been developed to respond to severe corrosion specifications.
Super austenitic stainless steels exhibit great resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion because of high molybdenum content (>6%) and nitrogen additions, and the higher nickel content ensures better resistance to stress-corrosion cracking versus the 300 series. These steels approach the performance of highly corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys at a significantly lower cost.

Stainless steel with high nickel, high molybdenum, copper, and nitrogen, and the microstructure of matrix metal is typical of 100% Austenite is called Super Austenite stainless steel.
Because super austenitic stainless steel is high in nickel and molybdenum and contains copper and nitrogen, it is easy to melt. Easy to bend, cracking, and so on, so super austenitic stainless steel is the stainless steel production process requirement of the highest, the most difficult variety, it is the concentrated embodiment of steel technology.

Super austenitic stainless steel valves have great resistance against pitting and crevice corrosion of chloride owe to its super austenitic stainless steel has high molybdenum content (>6%) and nitrogen additions.
This steel features high corrosion resistance rivaling nickel-based alloy at a significantly lower cost.

Common super austenitic stainless steels used in the valve industry are UNS S31254 (254SMO and AL6XN). They are predominantly used to obtain both higher strength and improved resistance to crevice corrosion chloride pitting compared to 316 SS. This improved corrosion resistance comes from the higher Ni and Mo content, and nitrogen strengthens the material. Desalination, food processing, chemical processing, and even seawater services use super austenitic stainless steels as an economical selection in cases where high strength and good corrosion resistance are needed.

Super Austenitic stainless steel combines with 904L, 254SMO, AL-6XN, Alloy 20, etc.
- Alloy 20 is stainless steel with extremely
- high corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid.
- It can be used in a wide range of sulfuric acid environments,
- including high concentration, high-temperature environments.
- It possesses excellent intergranular corrosion resistance and stress corrosion cracking resistance.

Tantalum Ball Valves bear excellent chemical properties and high corrosion resistance, being widely used in Coal chemical industry, Petrochemical industry, Rubber industry, etc.
-

Used in the chemical industry for its resistance to corrosion (in particular sulfuric acid) and temperature, Tantalum is virtually impervious to the chemical attack of acids for temperatures below 150°C.
Grade: Ta, Ta pur ( 99.85 % min), Ta-2, 5%W (KBI 6); Ta-10%W (KBI 10)

Tantalum and titanium alloys are non-ferrous high chemical activity metals. Tantalum materials have oxide films, good stability, and self-passivation ability in a strong corrosion environment, so Tantalum valves can resistance a variety of harsh corrosion conditions.
Due to its high cost-effectiveness and high corrosion resistance, the Tantalum check valve can be used in many high corrosion mediums. In the civil corrosion resistance industrial transmission pipeline, the Tantalum check valve solves many corrosion problems that the Stainless steel, Copper, or Aluminum check valves can’t solve.
The tatanium check valve has excellent corrosion resistance, high specific strength, small weight, hard, smooth surface that limits adhesion of foreign materials, heat resistance, and so on advantages.

With excellent chemical properties and high corrosion resistance, tantalum valves do not react to hydrochloric acid, concentrated nitric acid and aqua regia under cold and hot conditions, and will not be corroded by concentrated sulfuric acid below 150°C temperature.
Tantalum valve is used more and more widely because of its little corrosion and long life in strong corrosive environment.
